Our clients are mainly professionals: distributors, traders, fencing installers, wine growers, zoos, amusement parks, nurseries, arborists, horse breeders, farmers. Some private individuals sometimes have large needs, in which case we also deliver to them.
As acacia forests in Romania are very dense, tree growth is slow. This can be seen in the rings of the wood close together, a sign of a high density and therefore ensuring a long service life of the stakes.
Depending on the diameter needed, the lifespan of the posts easily exceeds 30 years.
We are constantly continuing to expand our product line. Soon we will also be producing: post & rails, adjoining panels (blackout), dowels (for tenon and mortise assembly), deck boards, ...
Having a stake peeled makes it last longer and provides a better anchoring of the staples / nails / screws in hard wood. These stakes are ideal for making fences and staking trees.
In the table below you will find the number of round posts per pallet for the different diameter categories. For the 6-8 cm category, a pallet consists of 150 round posts, etc.
Important: Please note that we can only deliver full pallets. So please adjust the quantity ordered according to the number of poles per pallet.

II. Big acacia poles
We produce all lengths of poles (up to 12m) and all diameters (up to 40cm). The majority of our customers who order poles prefer them peeled (the bark of acacia poles drops quickly after installation). They have a wide variety of uses:
-
for earthworks - retain land during earthworks;
-
for ecological engineering companies to carry out bank tuning - reinforcing the banks of ponds or watercourses;
-
installation of hops for brewers - in addition to its exceptional longevity, acacia is also sought after for organic crops which need wood without any chemical treatment;
-
installation of outdoor facilities in zoos.
III. Robinia sawn stakes
Stakes sawn in quarters or half-rounds (to serve as rails). They can be peeled or unpeeled (cheaper).
Sawn stakes are 30% cheaper than round stakes because with a tree we produce 2 or 4 sawn stakes. They are categorized by circumference and not by diameter. The most popular pole circumferences are:
-
20-25cm: obtained from a round stake of 8-10cm diameter, sawn in 2 or a 12-14cm sawn in 4;
-
25-30cm: obtained from a round stake of diameter 10-12cm, sawn in 2 or a 14-16cm sawn in 4;
-
30-35cm: obtained from a round stake of diameter 12-14cm, sawn in 2 or a 16-20cm sawn in 4;
-
35-40cm: obtained from a round stake of diameter 14-16cm, sawn in 2 or a 20-22cm sawn in 4;
-
40-45cm: obtained from a round stake of diameter 16-18cm, sawn in 2 or a 22-26cm sawn in 4.
These sawn acacia stakes are widely used in viticulture in vineyards that do not want stakes treated with copper salt or iron poles, and also in stud farms (always debarked because acacia bark is toxic to horses). Farms install sawn stakes with a minimum perimeter of 30cm. This is a good compromise for a cheap and very resistant stake. For example, a sawn stake 30-35cm in perimeter is cheaper than a round stake 10-12cm in diameter.
If you don't mind the bark of sawn stakes, be sure to mention this when ordering your stakes as unpeeled sawn stakes are 10% cheaper than peeled ones.
Difference between the perimeter (P) and the diameter (D) of a sawn acacia post. Beware, are mistaken between the two!
In the table below you will find the number of sawn posts per pallet for the different perimeter categories. For the 8-12 cm category, a pallet consists of 1000 sawn posts, etc.
Important: Please note that we can only deliver full pallets. So please adjust the quantity ordered according to the number of poles per pallet.

IV. Triangular markers
Triangular markers, made from acacia wood.
Resistant to sinking, they are an excellent alternative to square markers. In this sense, they are mainly used for forestry and viticulture plantations.
Perimeter: 8-12/10-15/14-17/15-20cm
Length: 0.6/0.8/1/1.2/1.5m
Packaging: 500-1000 markers per pallet.
V. Split acacia posts
Split posts in acacia wood, with or without bark. We can also sand them. Maximum length 2.2m. Same diameter category as sawn posts.
Split acacia posts take slightly longer to produce than sawn acacia posts. More material is lost during production.
The splitter follows the wood fibre as it splits the acacia trunk. This means that split acacia posts last longer than sawn acacia posts (where the wood fibres have been cut).
Possible uses: fencing, tunnelling and restoring watercourses, vineyards and arboriculture (stakes).
VI. Robinia square posts
Square stakes are pointed while sleepers are not. Here are the dimensions we produce:
-
Square sections of: 5x5cm / 8x8cm / 10x10cm / 10x20cm / 15x15cm.
-
Lengths: 1.5m / 2m / 2.5m / 3m
In small sections (up to 10x10cm), the sapwood is completely absent. When sawing 10x20cm or 15x15cm, there is sometimes a trace of sapwood on one of the edges.
They are used as fence posts (very premium), as pilasters to hold the gates and barriers of meadows, and landscape sleepers.
A more economical variant of the square post with a fixed section is the sawn post with a square shape. For example, a sawn post with a square shape of 35-40cm in perimeter will be 60% cheaper than a square post of 10x10cm. This sharp drop in price is explained by the gain in productivity thanks to (1) the tolerance on the section and (2) from time to time, one of the 4 edges is not sharp. Attached is a photo with a photo of square posts and a photo of sawn posts with a square shape.

VII. Posts & Rails
Posts & rails are fences traditionally used for horses.
Each post (vertical post) has 2 or 3 rows of mortises in which the rails are jammed.
They are made from sawn and peeled acacia poles.
VIII. Robinia rails
The rails can be round or half-round. They are laid horizontally. The most requested length for the ropes is 3m. The diameter of round strings is usually 8-10cm.Sawn strips will have a 25-30cm perimeter (10-12cm in diameter, sawn in half).
We also produced longer and thicker rails as requested by the customer.
The vertical stakes that support the rails are generally 2m 10-12cm or 12-14cm.
Acacia fences with rails are used for meadows with horses, cows, sheep, goats. It is possible to hang a wire mesh on the barrier so that animals do not pass under it.
IX. Machine rounded robinia stakes
Acacia is a slightly curved wood. To make the machine rounded robinia stakes, you must first saw the logs in a square section and then mill them. Machine rounded stakes are calibrated in standard dimensions, diameters: 6cm / 8cm / 10cm / 12cm / 14cm & lengths: 1.5m / 2m / 2.5m. The price remains an impediment to the demand for this very high-end product. A milled stake is 3x more expensive than a peeled stake.
X. Robinia lumber
With the acacia logs of larger diameters, we produce boards. After first processing, we store unedged acacia boards. Here are our dimensions:
-
Length: 2m / 2.5m / 3m / 4m
-
Width (measured between bark, in the middle of the board): +10cm
-
Thickness (fresh sawing): 25mm / 30mm / 42mm
-
Quality: A / B and C (presence of black knots or knots bigger than 3cm in diameter)
Acacia planks are used for exterior constructions, tuning and restorations of watercourses.
At the customer's request, we can saw the beautiful acacia logs into planks to make balls. The boards are 30mm thick, 10-35cm wide and 2-5m long. They are used in carpentry (stairs, furniture, fittings), which allows for continuity in the wood fibres during assembly.
XI. Cleft robinia paling
Cleft paling - also called rolling fences - is produced using a trellis-maker. It ties the acacia paling to each other in 3, 4 or 5 rows of wire. Each row of threads is made up of 4 galvanized threads 1.8mm thick, with high tensile strength (550N / mm²). The French-manufactured trellis-maker twists the wires between each stile so that they are completely tight and can no longer move. The quality of a trellis-maker is evaluated mainly by the force it exerts during the twisting of the wires between each stile.
The rolls of ganivelles are 5 or 10m long.
The acacia cleft paling is made of sawn and slightly pointed stakes. They have an average perimeter of 10cm. The spacings between the stakes are 1-2cm, 2-3cm, 3-4cm, 4-5cm, 5-6cm, 6-7cm, 7-8cm, 8-9cm or 9-10cm apart. On request, we can adjust the trellis to other spacings.
We produce paling of 7 different heights:
-
H 0.5m - 2 rows of wire
-
H 0.8m - 3 rows of wire
-
H 1m - 3 rows of wire
-
H 1.2m - 3 rows of wire
-
H 1.5m - 4 rows of thread
-
H 1.8m - 5 rows of wire
-
H 2m - 5 rows of wire
In terms of transport: The rolls of paling are placed on a pallet, 10 or 15 rolls per 1.2m high pallet.
On a truck, we load between 2 and 6km of paling, depending on the heights and the distances between the posts.
Cleft paling is used in gardens, parks, on the seaside to counter coastal erosion, or on facades of houses as cladding.
If you want to know our prices, please send us an email specifying: 1) your postal code (to calculate the transport costs) 2) the approximate quantity desired (full or partial truck)
At the packing level: The pallets are 1.2m high, 1.2m wide and the length of the paling (except for the 0.5m high which are placed on europallets). Each pallet contains 10 rolls of 10 meters or 15 rolls of 5 meters.
On a truck, we load between 2 and 6km of rolling fences, it is equivalent to 26 and 64 pallets of rolling fences. The table below indicates the number of linear meters per truck. This varies according to the height of the paling and the length of the rolls.
Note: Unlike other heights, 0.5m high rolls cannot be pressed. Reason why, we put less in a truck than 0.8/1m high rolls.

XII. Robinia sanded poles
The sanded posts are first debarked and then sanded. All that's left is the heartwood, which turns slightly gray. The wood keeps its natural curves.
These posts are used by the builders of playgrounds, pilings, terraces, pergolas and other outdoor facilities.
XIII. Robinia Shingles sawn
Sawn acacia shingles are produced from trunks over 30cm in diameter. They are cut in a radial section to ensure the stability of the shingles. To prevent them from drying out too quickly, a little wax is applied to the ends. Rectangular in shape, shingles have a thin side and a thick side. Acacia shingles are placed on a roof like tiles, with the thin side at the top and the thick side at the bottom. Each row of shingles covers 2/3 of the previous row. You therefore need 3m2 of shingles to cover 1m2 of roof.
Dimensions (+/- 3mm):
-
Length: 40cm
-
Width: 8-12cm
-
Thickness: 18mm on one side and 8mm on the other
There are thus 25 shingles in 1 m2 without installation and 75 shingles in 1 m2 with installation.
More and more builders of cabins and ecological habitats are using acacia shingles, also called tavaillons. They are more impact-resistant than slates and tiles and have the same longevity. They have the advantage of being a good thermal insulator.

XVI. Robinia garden gates
Acacia gates are produced from round and half-round posts. The round posts form the structure of the gate. They are assembled in tenon and mortise, with wooden dowels. The pointed half-rounds are attached to the structure with Spax stainless steel screws. Each gate is assembled manually and lightly sanded.
The portions are 100cm wide and 100/120/150/180 / 200cm. They are not supplied with the ironwork.
These gates are very popular with garden development companies. They fit perfectly into a ganivelle fence, a chicken coop, or a vegetable garden.
XVII. Robinia - Whole trees debarked
The logging companies also supply us with whole trees, with their branches. The trees are debarked and loaded onto a truck. The lengths vary from 2 to 12m long.
They are installed in the playgrounds, integrated into pergolas or interior and exterior decorations. Whole barked dead trees have a clean look. Their natural shapes and the fact that they do not require maintenance have made them very successful.
