The production of acacia rails for horse fences is similar to the production of a round post and a sawn post.

Acacia trunks of small diameters (8-10 or 10-12cm) and sufficiently long (2.5m or 3m) are debarked but not pointed! Then, they are sawn in 2 with a band saw.

For more robust rails, it is possible to saw 14-16cm diameter posts in 2 and resaw the edges to make it more comfortable if you want to sit on the rails.
